I have to rebuild a small 2 stroke motor. It's only 25cc. Can anybody tell me where I can buy a piston ring for a 1 5/16" piston .046" thick. When I get one I can test it.
This is not an endorsement of the company, just my experience.
I'm looking at a piston kit for an Echo trimmer that looks like what you are after.
This piston has two rings. If you like, I can take them home and measure with calipers. I don't have any here at work.
A word of caution. Two stroke piston grooves have a pin that locates the gap in the ring relative to the piston. First time rebuilders sometimes overlook this and crunch things badly trying to reassemble the engine.
mine is a al-ko kober i have got it all fixed except for the ring. i hope it is that whats causing the lack of compression and sucktion it will not fire up.
Most agriculture equipment dealerships can order parts by specification. Try the original manufacturers website and make sure they don't sell the part too.
