There are many induction furnace operations in India - you could consult with or hire someone there. I do not know anything about induction melting. The sulphur in DRI is normally a function of the iron ore and the fuel being used in the kiln - coal. You can complain to the supplier but I doubt it would do any good.

I am only replying to the first question: Induction melting works by passing the metal through an induction coil. The metal is placed in a non-metallic (graphite or ceramic) crucible and is heated by induction. Regarding S, I believe that this particular element is hard to control, and you will get a product with the average S of the stuff you put in the laddle.
