Phillip Glass is a minimalist composer, of the opera "Satyagraha" among other things.

His cousin Ira Glass is the host of "This American Life," a National Public Radio series.

James Glass is a retired physics dean who has written some science-fiction stories.

"The Glass Menagerie" is a play by Tenessee Williams.

A glass (h)armonica is a musical instrument favored by U.S. founder Benjamin Franklin.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. (non-Biblical proverb)

Glass is sometimes described as an extremely viscous liquid, rather than as a solid.

Sodium silicate (a useful leak sealer) is known as "water glass." So is an 8-oz. tumbler.

These are just a few miscellaneous factoids about "glass." Maybe we'll hear more....

I'll take a glass of each! (After all, it's the "in cervisia carmen" part of my motto.)

Your question is so vague as to be meaningless.
If you ask something specific you may get a relevant answer.
Maybe read the posting guidlines, point #2 specifically.

Tips for Posting on CR4:

  • Look for answers before you post. The answer to your question may already be on CR4.
  • Provide as much information as possible. Questions lacking detail won't get answered.
  • Give some thought to your post title. Don't use "Hello", "Question" or "Help". Be specific, e.g., "How Do I Install Replacement Brushes In My DC Motor"
  • Please stay on topic. Posts and comments should be of a technical nature and engage some aspect of engineering, science or technology.
  • Do not post the same thread multiple times. We will delete duplicate posts.
  • Include your country/region if needed. Some questions can only be answered "correctly" if people know where you are in the world.
  • Do your own homework. CR4 is not a homework cheat site.
  • Post all advertisements in Commercial Space. Select that forum from the list below.
  • For more tips see our FAQ.
