Dear Guest,

I do not understand what you mean by-'train slowing down'-.Any way the train has to slow down to stop at stations. I have a doubt that you use your friend

name to shield yourself !! Furthur to the best of my knowledge the insulation level

for traction motors are rated for 150 degree centi rise over ambient ( 45 deg centi).Tell your friend that there are ways to expel the heat generated ( cooling fans etc).

This train won't slow down for any financial insulation.

Good jokes Though i doubt whether the targetted bridegroom is not financially affected ...

Anyway, dear Guest, please check this out first, then you can debate the relative advantages and disadavantages of DC series motors, induction motors with regenerative braking, linear induction motors.....so on...

I was under the impression that the train slows down to maximise safe embarking and disembarking of passengers. Gone are the days where train passengers had to carefully time getting on to and off the train while it drove past the passanger platform without slowing down.

I tried the mail bag hook, but it was a bit of a strain.
