LT-4000-T current transducer

06/30/2010 11:45 AM

1)What is the correct connections to the three connections(+24V,M,-24V)

a)The incoming connections(0-10V,0-24V)

b)The outgoing connections and what is expected(0-10V,4-2-mA)

2)Can the CT be connected directly to a PLC if the output is either 0-10V or 4-20mA.

What does the original equipment manufacturer's instruction leaflet that came with it say?

It needs a 24 volt power supply @ 1 ampere . . .

The output is 0 . . . 800 mA, providing a ratio of 1/5,000 . . . meaning that if you apply 2,500 amperes you will get 500 milliamperes on the output (M).

You can load the output (M) with 12.5 ohms to obtain an output of 0 - 10 volts for 0 - 4,000 amperes.

You need interfacing circuitry to connect it to a 4-20 mA loop.
