Socket weld flange in DIN standard

07/01/2010 9:09 AM

Dear colleagues,

in several places I have found that flange manufacturers offer socket weld flanges made in DIN standard. I went through DIN standard and couldn't find socket weld flange. It seems to me that socket weld is available only in ANSI (ASME), but not in DIN, although it is obvious that such adaptation could easily be done.

Is it common practice to order DIN flanges in socket weld variation?

Hi,

Just google "socket weld flange" and you'll have some information.

I did it and here is a direct link to a figure and the corresponding DIN std nº:

Kind regards

Dear all,
socket weld flange is special type of flange. I attached schematics of flange types to avoid misunderstanding. Unfortunatelly the address you gave me doesnt give any information it just says that they produce socket weld in din standard, but that standard doesnt tell anything about socket weld.
