Navy Investigates Shark Skin Suits

07/15/2005 5:30 PM

God and Nature, the most amazing design and build team ever, are once again getting a nod from the engineering community. As reported by Live Science, the U.S. Navy and other groups are trying to mimic the effectiveness of shark skin to increase energy efficiency, decrease the effects of barnacles and the like.

Pretty neat how evolution works.

It's hard to believe the things natural selection can come up with. It's a way of advancing technology without fully understanding why it works and learning after the fact.
