Chemical Composition Of Miild Steel Sch 40 pipe

REFER St. 35.8/ DIN mat.no.-1.0305 for composition. i.e. C<0.25%, Mn=0.27 %to 0.93%,Si>0.10%, S < 0.058% & P< 0.048% for ms pipes

Sch no. indicates diff. Wall thickness for diff sch nos. of pipes, however OD remains same for a particular pipe size(NB).

Refer ANSI B36.10 , example:

Pipe NB50 sch40 means OD=60.3mm & Wall thk.=3.9mm

NB50 sch 80 means OD=60.3mm & wall thk.=5.5mm
