DaFixer

07/09/2010 4:24 PM

Greetings all; I have been an avid reader of this post for some time and enjoy it immensely. I have a problem which I am hoping someone out here can help with. I am about to rebuild a "Wallace" mandrel pipe bender ( 6 inch) circa 1946+-, and have no shop drawings or repair manual. I would be eternally grateful for any input and if possible for any photos of the inner workings of the turntable. Thanks in advance.

Please post close-up pictures of the relevant areas taken from several different angles so that we can study the design in detail and advice you accordingly.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer?

Yes; I have sent out emails to every firm I could locate by google, seeking shop drawings or information to no avail. The link above handles a different line of Wallace benders, but the company actually phoned me this morning, trying to point me in the right direction.

I figured it would be difficult to get info on a 1946 machine. Just figured they might have a pointer for you.

Good luck!
