Venturi Tube Installation

For clarification,

can i install the venturi tube in vertical pipe run for steam flow measurement?

Yes, as far as I know, the venturi effect won't be sensitive to orientation.

Probably, though the best advice is to contact the original equipment manufacturer directly with details of the proposed installation before committing to purchase.

Vortex-shedding flowmeters also work well on steam, with very little insertion pressure drop, and can also be installed in vertical pipelines.
