Choosing Alternators

07/14/2010 3:12 AM

Hello,

I am currently into selling generators (both diesel and gas) and engines, from 2kw to 1000 kw.

I wanted to add alternators to my product portfolio, I was wondering how to decide what kind of alternators should I choose, what should be the power output range and what standard features and quality certifications it should have.

My company is based in China but we export to the rest of the world.

Also, since I am not an engineer ,I would appreciate if you could explain in simpler terms....

Many Thanks

What are customers and potential customers saying?

Like PW says...
If you make a note of all customer requests which you can't fulfill. Look at the list on a regular basis and you will soon get an idea of what you should stock to satisfy the demand.

A small well supported range of reliable equipments is much better than a vast range of poorly supported stuff which is over complicated, has poor user mauals and dubious relability.
Keep it simple, know your products.

Do you mean the generators you sell are all DC machines? Seems unlikely, but that's the implication if you want to add alternators.
