What are the various air flow rates related to belt-driven fans of different capacities for the purpose of design?

Why dont you ask something more general?

Like:

What are the outputs of lightbulbs?

Without more specifics your question has an infinite number of answers.

There is an upper limit, with a belt driven fan you cannot exceed the speed of sound. But that will not be the only limitation, there will be other factors like the amount of gas to be moved, motor power density, turbulence concerns that will have to be addressed by a real engineer.

Guess if i had been a real engineer, I would have realized there were limits.

My knowledge is limited to experience more than training.

My apologies farmatt, I try to never insult people unintentionally but I can see why you could take my comment as directed to you. I did not intend to diminish you and you should not yourself. Regardless of your formal education, you've shown here on several threads that you do have the insight of an engineer.

Again, I apologize.

I am not offended, in fact I am thinking I may need to let more people know that I have no official engineering training, mainly what I have learned from both of my grandfathers, one was an agricultural engineer, the other an electrical engineer.

No offence taken, words never offend me. Only actions.
