Software for Design of Fiber Lasers

Can I have user feedback on software for design, analysis and optimization of fiber laser systems? I could find two such packages on web viz., 'RP fiber power' offered by RP Photonics (http://www.rp-photonics.com/fiberpower.html), 'LAD v4.0' offered by Liekki Corporation, Finland. Please write even if miss any.

I guess you have to determine what your fiber laser application will be first before you evaluate the design software. Is the fiber laser going to be used for communications or industrial applications ?

Are you going to need high power for welding?

Do you need high speed nano, pico or femtosecond pulsing for scientific research ?

I suggest that once you have a better Idea what you want to accomplish then email support of those companies for more detailed response to your design requirements.
