Plastic Enclosure Over Metallic Enclosure

I am interested to know the advantage of Plastic Enclosure over the metallic enclosure for metring panel / distribution panel specially in context of EMI or electrical inteferances.

The plastic outer enclosure will have no effect whatsoever.
