Plain vs. Lifting Lever in Safety Valves

Please advise when to use plain and when to use packed lifting lever in case of safety valves ?

There isn't a overall rule for this, it all depends on the system which is potected by this savety valve.

Think of the product in the system (chemicals, steam, oil, water etc.), and think of the system and what is linked to this system (for exeample power generation or filling a water tank).

In my oppinion the lifting lever on a savety valve is causing more problems than benefits and was never recommended by me.
