I don't know. Or how about you8, that seems to be all over the place this morning, trying to hawk his wares? I guess ignore them. I haven't noticed the individual you're talking about. I can't figure out why they would want to post here. Maybe they just don't know how to google. I'm sure there are thousands, if not millions of like minded people to talk to out there. I think allowing them their freedom of speech on this site to an extent, and completely ignoring them is probably the best path, eventually they will get tired of being ignored and go away. Like insolent children, if you engage them, even if it's negative, they will be getting the attention they crave and will continue.

I have reported you8 to the site administrators for spamming. Let's hope they deete all his posts and block him from posting any further.

Ditto on the advertisers; e.g., the furniture posts and unsolicited one from Boston below your post. I guess it's best to both ignore and report them.

The advertising was not to which I was commenting on. But I do like your idea. Should cut out a lot of it. They will not post if they know that the products or services provided will be made lite of and to look bad.

Oh, I think the same concept could be applied to any posts that shouldn't be here. It might take us awhile to perfect our approach, but it would save admin some time. What are they going to do? Report us for placing fraudulent replies to threads that are prohibited.

There IS a Commercial Space on this forum for such posts.The civil response would be to ask the moderators to move misplaced commercial posts to that section.

All we can and should do is report offending posts to the site moderators. IMHO they have done a good job so far. There will ALWAYS be some fringe posting that gets through regardless of any filtering actions. As long as these offending posts are flagged and then moved/edited/deleted by attentive moderators, I personally don't see any need to take more proactive measures.
