Hello yusman.

An overspray loss (wastage) of 60% on an irregular shape is not uncommon. We experience about 35-40% loss on regular surface (flat steel door) and about 50% on irregular shape items we occasionally paint.

Are you painting inside, away from wind? A windy work area wastes a considerable amount of material. Other than that, careful application.

You could use a 4" roller. They also sell coating mitts, slip it on your hand dip and go. You could try using a 213 or 211 tip, it has a smaller orifice size and will put out a finer spray. If your doing a lot of this, the best answer of all is to invest in an electrostatic spray machine, waste will be less than 10%.
