Displacement Stress Range

hi to all,

for clarification:

how can we say that it is the maximum/minimum displacemt stress range which is stated in ASME B31.3 para. 319.2.3?

any comments subject to this matter is highly appreciated and if somebody in this forum who had document that explain this matter, please share it to me.

Ref to sec 319.2.1 & 2 as well, The Maximum and Minimum displacement calculation should form the basis for defining the limits which is calculated based on the Elastic Modulii of the particular Pipe section & Configuration (size, material and operating conditions). Remember the Average Axial Stresses are not considered.
