27 Undervoltage Relay Setting Range

08/10/2010 2:09 PM

Does the Relay user always use 27 setting in per unit range like (0.2- 1* Nominal Voltage) or numerical value like 40- 300V, Which of these is more convenient?

You spec. the relay based on a range you are sensing, it usually set for a percentage of your normal operating voltage that your equipment can operate at safely 2 to 5%, maybe more if voltage runs high

This depends on the make and type of relays.

Some relays accept % settings.

Some other relays accept absolute values based on voltage inputs.

Both will be in order.
