My previous post was a bit facetious. The largest blower I have ever been involved with was an 1800-hp VFD-controlled fan for an icing wind tunnel (with three 750-hp screw compressors for the refrigeration). We didn't get the job, and I'm not sure anyone did.
As a rough guess, I would imagine that 6000hp (~4500kw) is about the largest available blower/fan, but I don't really know. It will be interesting to receive other input on this.

The under construction Medupi coal fired power station in South Africa has ordered 10.4 MW motors for their ID fans and I am sure these are by no means the biggest around.
Not sure how the OP defines a "blower" though.

In theory maybe, but Mach 1 for a centrifugal blower would be most unlikely - the stresses at the periphery would be enormous. They are usually pretty low speed machines.
