Instrumentation - Current Generator not Generating Voltage

Hi All,

Plase anyone help, we have a problem on our sample analyzer COURIER 30XP.

The problem which we are facing is our gold, copper and silver sample analyzer. current generator doesn't generate voltage.

I will appreciate your quick help on this regard.

Not enough voltage for the x-ray machine to image properly or none at all? After e-testing the gen output, then you might bench test the generator, and then under load equal to the x-ray voltage reqmnt.

I would assume that this is a generator with a voltage regulator. If it is open the output breaker, remove a cover and expose the output breaker, put a digital multimeter, preferably with frequency function, phase to phase at the top of the breaker, start the genset and run it up to rated speed, check the output, the rule of thumb is 10% output without the regulator operating, its usually closer to 5%, if you see a voltage output in this range with the proper frequency, you have a defective voltage regulator. Try this and get back to us so we can see where to go from here, also if the frequency is low bring the engine up to rated speed, most quality regulators have under frequency protection

Is there some reason why the original equipment manufacturer can't help over the telephone?
