Guru means only that one has posted a lot. It would be reasonable to assume that if these people were actually accomplishing stuff, they wouldn't be spending so much time posting things here.

Like the participants in most other forums, we have quite a range in experience. Probably the only way you can know if a post is nonsense or not is by evaluating the post in relation to others (and by developing your own BS detector). Over time, you'll come to recognize those whose advice you can trust.

Blink, humble greetings. That opening self deprecating comment alone makes you a qualified Guru. The stuff you write speaks for itself.

I only would like to emphasize Blink's post, and attach my own feeling about this forum. This is just a place that engineers, specialists, and experienced people come to exchange information. I believe that, like me, they're interested in learning about subjects out of theyr experience, while helping, contributing to make somethings the way they should be. This is, in my own oppinion, of course, what motivates and engineer to do his job,and I really do not believe that someone would spend time writing to a technical forum to give incorrect answers for fun.

For this proposit, there are lots of opportunities, like MSN, Orkut, etc.

I would also like to Know - How do these people know so much?

The questions mostly lack a lot of detail the replies are therefore base on almost similar experiences. A person living in a dolomite area (with 80m deep sinkholes) sees a crack in the floor of a garage in a different light than a person on good land.

The questions should therefore give more detail.

Most opposing solutions might be correct but applicable to other situations

The reader must therefore apply his mind.
