A/C or Ventilation

08/19/2010 8:47 AM

TO ALL,

I have 4200 s.ft of toilet and Locker room on second floor with a height of 9ft..

Should I air condition it or ventilate it as per New York mechanical code /Latest ASHRAE out side air requirements etc.

If so how much CFM for air conditioning or Ventilation. Please guide me as I am confused.

The need of ventilation of the space of such functionality should not even come into qwestion (and by that cannot be eliminated by an air conditioning).

You have to provide at least 4 air changes per hour ie 2200 cfm supply or A/C air and at least 3000cfm exhaust thru exhaust fans keeping the place at a negative pressure for a bath room.

this will suffice. hence the answer
