	Gentlemen, Gravel or Stone Piles are basically used to improve the load carrying capacity of ground to support heavy loads within tolerable limit of settlement. This is a ground improvement technique. Bores are made in the ground at calculated spacing and depth and gravels are filled in the bore holes under vibration. Akhtar Naviwala Bechtel Saudi Arabia
