TRIHYBRIDStealth Visits My College

08/27/2010 2:23 PM

TRYHYBRIDStealth.com

So, wandering around campus today I noticed a pamphlet for this guy. He is really excited and has done some cool stuff with his vehicle. It is constructed from ordinary materials and technology; no exotic or expensive materials or gadgets.

What do you think?

It looks pants.
Bings little trike looked much funkier.
But Bing left me.

True, Bing has a better ride...but he didn't visit my school! This guy was from Tennessee though and just finished a 2000(ish) run with his trike. Perhaps we will make our own here in the Engineering bldg. That or I will convince them to build my truck into an electric hybrid by replacing the driveshaft with a set of powerful electric motors and battery pack. Big thing that keeps me from doing it myself is the complicated software(?) method of controlling regenerative braking and managing the batteries.

Post deleted by Del in annoyance at having his original post doctored into nonsense by some humourless over zealous admin.

Yeah, I caught that, thought you had a typo or something. What's with the admin? Us cat fanciers have to stick together, wink, wink.

Why any of us would be offended by being referred to as a 'nutter' is beyond me. Anyone who tinkers with science and does engineering has to be a little nutty sometimes to think around corners and outside the box to come up with new thought.

NUTTERS UNITE!

NUTTERS UNITE! Where's my foil hat? I reserve the right to search 100 mpg carburetors, faster-than-light drives, and electric pickup trucks!

It's still a free country, we're allowed to be as nutty as we like.
