Piston Ring Injection

Dear All

We are into production of piston rings.We are processsing 14 lacs piston rings ( 9 lacs plain ring & 5 lacs chrome ring).

I want to know the global bench mark for input-output rejection in plain & chrome rings.

According to my OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers, Zero DPPM and 100% on time.

That is what they get from ordinary suppliers.

DPPM= Defective Parts Per Million

As I scrolled down the screen to respond, I see CR4 member Milo has already given the same answer (albeit worded with more clarity) as I would have. GA vote for him.

I would add that in the cut-throat global market you seek to join, should your output drop below the zero DPPM and 100% on time delivery cited your customers will flock like birds to another manufacturer.
