Concerning Post :)

09/02/2010 10:36 PM

I am starting to feel some irritation at the level of censorship of Admin.

Concerning the titled post, why was it deemed necessary to close the thread? Are you concerned that "stuffy" engineers will complain and send an inordinate amount of "Report"s? Is it because, if the content is not strictly engineering, it will reflect negatively on GlobalSpec?

Sometimes its nice to be merely human and enjoy non-technical communication.

The thread breached a number of CR4 rules, combined with the fact that reply #1 answered the posters question (hence it was closed).

The thread may be closed for further comment but it is still here (including the admin. reasons why it was closed).

Come on. This is a poor excuse for closing a thread, "The first post answered the Guest's question."

"The thread breached a number of CR4 rules..."

You are kidding me. Stinky Pete posted an off-topic comment? Huh.

"...combined with the fact that reply #1 answered the posters question (hence it was closed)."

Here is an example of a thread (one of several hundred available) where the first post answered the question, yet remains open today for discussion.

I do not quite understand the discussion termination either.

Well I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt that way. It's curious that no Admins have posted to this. Or maybe not: it's the start of the last long weekend of the summer!
