What fluid(s) are inside the system being evacuated?

What is the temperature?

What is the desired vacuum?

Again, without much information as to what you want to accomplish, it is difficult if not impossible to help you. You have a 1 cubic meter vessel which in our business is extremely small. What is it you want to evacuate from the vessel? Is this a batch operation? Vacuum pumps are rated for their pump capacity at a specified temperature and at various pressures. The lower the pressure the lower the pump speed. For such a small vessel I can't see much need to worry about the time required to reach the desired pressure. If you are evacuating mist then a liquid ring vacuum pump may be your best choice. If you have a condenser before the vacuum pump then you could use an oil seal, vane or dry sealed pump. There are many variations of vacuum pumps, many especially designed for specific requirements. Hope this helps.
