Algae Formation

what factor favors algae formation in process water ? what are precautions should we take to avoid the same ? including treatment and design changes in pipeline or in processing ?

Algae need light to grow. Exclude light from your system to prevent algae from growing. Algae also need nutrients to grow, and flourish in slightly acidic conditions. pH above neutral (7) may help to discourage algae.

There are a variety of algae control measures but suitability depends on what the water is used for.

Contact a reputable water treatment chemicals supplier locally and discuss the application with them.
