Hoe to check the single phase capacitor motor starting and running winding with out colour code or circuit details ?

The start or auxiliary winding is roughly twice the resistance in ohms, as the run winding. If that is what you are asking.

Hi Nawas,

There're many kinds of single phase motors when referring to their accessories. E.g. a single phase motor with centrifugal switch, a single phase motor with a Running capacitor, a single phase motor with both of "a centrifugal switch & Starting capacitor", and a single phase motor with a combination of "a centrifugal switch , a Starting capacitor & Running capacitor", …. However, for the maintenance purposes, you have to check the motor accessories described above like the centrifugal switch , the capacitor(s) mounted on the motor surface,,also you have to check how good the motor bearings are if it has… if you do preventive maintenance on these accessories from time to time , you'll extend the life of such motors…

All process required max. 30 minutes. Remove the motor and take to a motor winding shop.
