Based on the limited content of your request, I will assume post manufacture, pre start-up.

Post Installation – Pre Start-up:

1. Verify that Genset has been physically installed per the manufacturers' specification i.e. concrete pad, proper environment (indoor or outdoor), hold down devices in place and secure, shrouds and guards in place.

2. Verify all shipping material removed (plastic, cardboard, muffler shipping plug, manuals, ect).

3. Correct lubricant and proper level in crankcase and drain plug secure.

4. Correct coolant/antifreeze and proper level and drain plug secure.

5. Air filter element installed and secure.

6. Verify fuel connection(s) and availability.

7. Correct connections and phasing of line conductors from Genset to transfer switch/load.

8. Megger check conductors indicated in Item 7. (above)

9. Battery connected and charged.

10. Battery charger and block heater (if required) are connected to power source.

11. Disable transfer switch.

12. Attach load bank set cables to generator line lugs in transfer switch.

13. Start Genset.

14. Check for fuel/coolant/oil leaks.

15. Engage master on load bank set and ramp up to load as prescribed by the manufacturer.

16. Maintain load on generator for time period as prescribed by the manufacturer.

17. After conditions of Items 15 and 16 (above) are met, disengage master on load bank set.

18. Allow Genset to run un-loaded for extract cool down as prescribed by the manufacturer.

19. After conditions of Item 18 (above) are met, shut down Genset.

20. Check for fuel/coolant/oil leaks.

21. If all items above are successful, complete manufacturer pre/post start up documents.

This list is "general". Requirements will vary (sometimes greatly) between manufacturers and Genset types.

The ones that are stated in the manufacturer's instruction manual.
