HSLA 945 X Material Properties

Hello I want to run a FEA analysis on a part that I have designed. The part in question has to be hyrdoformed using HSLA 945 X grade steel. Where can I get the following data for 945 X ? Young's Modulus, Density, Yield strength and Poisson's Ratio. .

All of the values with the exception of yield strength are going to be typical values for steel (the differences from one alloy to the next are way down in the weeds, and really not worth getting exact.). One error many people make is thinking FEA results are identical to real life and they attempt to be overly exact and assume an exact input value is going to give you an exact result. This is false precision. FEA should only be a guide and can never be a substitute for real life testing. The yield for typical steels can be -0%/+15% or more from the published minimum values because they are just that. MINIMUMS. They can be and usually are quite a bit more than the minimum.

Young's modulus for steel is going to be typically 200GPa/29,000ksi

Density is going to be approximately .289 lb/Cu. In.

Poisson's ratio is going to be between .27 and .30. using .30 is going to get you pretty dang close. That is the value I typically use for structural steels.

Typically the grade is a number (such as 50, 65, 70) which specifies the yield in KSI, not a letter. I am unaware of a grade X in ASTM A945. You should contact your supplier for the yield for this material.

edit: I just looked up my copy of ASTM A945 and only two grades are listed 50 and 65 and they refer to the yield in KSI.
