Yep and everything else Wile bought. They even have a supermarket chain here on the east coast.

It is my inderstanding that ACME Corp. has closed their doors, pending resolution of the lawsuit, Wile E.Coyote (Plaintiff) -v- Acme Company (defendant).

A welcomed chuckle this morning, having got into work to find the two projects I'm working on stalled because the custome keeps changing the spec', and in one case the customer is arguing amongst themselves.

Like OZZB says, look up Acme threads. A good screw jack will have Acme threads. A screw jack does work, so the threads need to last under continuous load and motion. The flat nature of the thread directs the stress in the direction of the load. A normal thread will wear out sooner.
