110 V AC

i bought a stereo from US which has a regular 110 v ac power cord the stereo does not come with any adapter just a 110 ac v cord that comes attached to the unit. so when i plug it in india what adapter do i need to buy?

At the very least, you will need a 230x115v transformer. I don't know if the frequency (50 vs. 60 Hz) matters in this instance.

Check the stereo manual and nameplate on the back as it may be dual voltage rated (or settable with a voltage selection switch) meaning you can run it directly of 230V 50Hz. If not you will need a 110V to 230V converter.

The 60/50Hz difference shouldn't be a problem in either case but again check your manual.
