What is the name of the standards body that defined this specification? What does SINTAP stand for?

Try this link: http://www.eurofitnet.org/sintap_index.html

Perhaps they know more.

Great. Actually, I've been around this page, but for some reason all the search results I had didn't show the index page.

The standard can be downloaded via the link "Procedure version 1a".

Thanks very much Gwen.

To whom may concern, this standard covers dimensioning and design of devices with the approach of fracture mechanics, with the advantage to be an opened standard, free. I'm affraid in USA it would not make some difference, but for the rest of the world it is a really handy tool.
