With a load of only 1000 watts, buy a UPS. It will be far cheaper in the long run! You can add batteries to it to give your self what ever run time you need.

I agree that a standard ups will do what you want, but your charge time is too low. Find a fast charging battery, maybe a wet cell, and a strong charger.

A standard ups battery is usually only good for a few minutes. I use auto batteries, and an auto battery charger.

Regular auto batteries don't like to be run down to low voltage, it kills them. Deep cycle batteries, like golf cart batteries, cost a lot more but can take the abuse.

I think my ups actually cuts off if the battery runs low. I am pleased with my set-up, have been using it for a long time.

There are lots of good circuits in usp units, it's better to use them than trying to make your own.

I get my units from people who can't be bothered to replace the batteries.

The solutions are: 1.Use a Tubular lead acid battery . with a Constant Current and then Constatnt Voltage charge you can get it charged well in 5 hrs plus time. No flat plate lead acid battery will give you that . Basically it is like a Fork lift battery with tubular cells. You can opt for 6 or 12V tall tubular battery and have them in series. 2.Buy expensive Li ion batteries . which can be charged in 4 to 5 hrs. 3.A Ni Cadmium battery will have fastest charge regime. 4. Buy a Higher capacity battery ,so that depth of discharge is less than 50% in worst condition. You may be able to use Flat plate batteries of lead acid.

COme on Dear, If you are in Karachi, go to co ooperative market sadar. There is a shop named Adam Electroncis. Ask him to give you every thing you want. He will provide you transformer, Switching Circuit etc.

1000watt is not the matter. Matter is back up time of battery. Ask him to give you transformer of 4x4, that mean 4 fans and 4 tube lights.

Then ask him to give you a circuit board of good quality he have.(He has many types)

Buy Power Transistors TIP 35Cp ---20Nos and D-313 02 Nos. MAke two sides on aluminium Heat Sink with 10 Transisters each side.

Also buy a casing from him. Buy a battery from any battery shop. I prefere exide NS210. I have made my ups two years back and still working. If there is a problem, contact directly me at riaz_zee@yahoo.com

Allah has given you opportunity to make life in pakistan little better since you took first step in bringing democracy to electricity.

There are technology you can do or purchase product based on new technology which will be noiseless and will product power in your backyard and power will be enough to feed entire village with mopre than 2000 houses and does not depend on high tension line coming in from thausands of miles away.

For own home what is wrong with solar system. buy modules, invertor and batteries and end up having own power. Making photovoltic cell and modules are no more high tech if you have done college you can do this.

Allah has given enough way to make power and taught us how to provide light using sun atomic decay for entire world and you are talking only one house think about how you can help your neighbor and your village and town to have 24 hrs power instead of just yourself this is not Allah way and that is not islamic teaching
