Voltage Level for Evacuation

10/26/2010 8:14 AM

Hi CRs,

If I am a private power developer and need to evacuate 130MW from my power station, should I connect to nearby 110kV SS or a 220kV SS located farther? Is there any GERC(Gujarat electricity Regulatory commission) norms or any grid code for this?

Someone's left the back door open again!

So, you've built your power station, and you don't know how to export the power.

In reality would a 13A socket suffice?

What is your voltage? If either 110KV or 220KV, consider exporting to the matching SS.

If one of these SSs can absorb 130MVA, but not the other, feed to the one that can (even if it requires a transformer).

[Just some starting ideas....]
