Standards/Codes for Hydro Power Design and Construction

10/28/2010 2:24 AM

Which standards/codes are used in hydro power design and construction. Do not include the dam I only need the standards that apply from the intakes, penstocks up to the tail races.

The applicable ones, depending on where in the world the supposed dam will be constructed.

This seems another case of. "if you have to ask, your not up to the job".

It's the "Merle" syndrome all over again.

How much will it cost?
Will it get stuck going around corners?

Hello Guest.

Say there, my friends lynlynch, TonyS, and I have a project you might just be able to help us with. I hope so.

We are building a submarine for polar exploration (south pole ). Which standards/codes are used in submarine design and construction? Do not include the propulsion sector; we are using a MHD system from LynDoor™ Industries.. I only need the standards that apply to the pressure hull, sensors, navigation, communication, command and control, and life support.

Please supply any documentation you have as well. Thanks so much.

Oh some more info: crew of 36, and we anticipate 200 day patrols.

And, we'll also need the theoretical calculations.

Ride along? Sure. As long as you don't mind hot-racking with Stinky Pete.

OK so we've got 6 crew so far Doorman, lynlynch, PWSlack, North of 60, DamnGud EE and myself, plus 1 press-ganged member Stinky Pete. Where do we get the other 29 idiots volunteers from? I would suggest Del as torpedo pilot.

Del as torpedo pilot, with the proviso he's got at least 2 of his 9 lives left. I wouldn't want to be responsible for killing him off all together.

Until a few minutes ago, I would have passed on our OP here. However, he is a tenacious individual... and may prove useful as a procurement officer.

Remaining crew. Hmmnmn I will see if one of the 'Doorman's Chicks' can be conscripted. I believe any of them will be a welcome addition to the roster. Do not know what she can do, but I'll bet she will be welcomed!
