How to Draw Center Line and Dotted Line in Auto Cad?

after drawing the line select it.

type 'chprop' in the command line.

it will ask you 'enter property to change' . type 'ltype'

for center line, type 'center' and for dotted , type 'hidden'

another method is right click extreme top outside the drawing screen, select ACAD, load the properties tool box. you'd find the line type option there. center box. if you cant see the center line type, load it.

Draw a line and select it ,in the key board,press down Ctrl +1,select the line type,u can choose the Center line or Dotted line;

However,u can setup the layer about the Center or Dotted line before u drawing.

Another way of doing it (depending on your AutoCAD version and configuration) is to use the linetype selection dropdown:

... click the dropdown control, and choose the required linetype ...

If what you want isn't there, select "Other..." to bring up the linetype manager ...

... and click on "Load..." to get a list of available types ...
