Electrical - Cage Motor

One phase of a 90hp,550V,3ph,1470rpm,sq cage motor is showing '0' IR value b2in Ph-Earth.Why only one ph got burnt?

hi,

maybe because the voltage on that phase was not same as the other 2 phases by some reason, and that phase winding was pulling higher amps!

must be there is circuit brekaer for this motor, is it the right size to protect your motor?

It might be that in connecting itself phase to earth to produce the fault it has become diconnected from the other two phase connections internally.

The motor needs rewinding or replacing.
