We have Messung plc Model XMP8-40 in our machine. We are facing problem in software of machine for that we contacted Messung pune but they are telling that abovesaid PLC is now obselete and they will not provide any type of support .

AUTO CYCLE OF MACHINE NOT WORKING

We didn't have Messung PLC software DOX-1000(software that run on windows 98).It will be possible to display the ladder and modify the bits inorder to run the machine if we have software .Kindly suggest if there is any other way to resolve the problem

If you have an I/O map of the machine it may be possible to isolate those outputs and run your auto function using simple relay logic but this could be dangerous. I suggest using a different PLC with the same I/O that isn't obselete and program it to do the job. Possibly a brand that you already use somewhere else and already own the software.

Tie a string around your finger as a reminder not to buy products from companies known to orphan them.
