I have an application where I need to design a system that will support an air nozzle above a horizontal plate. The nozzle will need to move back and forth over the plate - 29" travel in one direction. Speed of approx. 40 feet per minute. Speed must be consistent from one end of the stroke to the other end. Nozzle has to stay perpendicular to the plate. The actutor will need to be at one end with the nozzle travel all overhung from the actuator at the edge of the plate. It will need to operate basically 24/5.
There are lots of ways to do this. Interested if anyone has had any particluar success with one type of actuator versus another.
