Formulas - Lamp Spacing

Please guys i need formulas for the calculation of lamp spacing in an electrical installations (House wiring)

1 lamp per space, minimum.

The point of my sarcasm is that you have asked an inane question. It means nothing without knowing the size of the room, the purpose of the room (type of activity to take place there), the distance from the lamps to the work surface, the size of the lamps, etc. etc. etc. Local regulations make a difference as well, you failed to mention if you are in Nantucket or Zimbabwe or somewhere else.
