SORRY A RAITAL LOAD OF APROX 3800 lbs to 4500 lbs. They keep breaking them and that's the only bearing that will fit in that location. They are SKF EXPLORER 6304 2RS JEM. Need more info let me know….THANKS Oh! They push down on a die roller and there are a total of 4 bearings at 4 separate locations, with a dial pressure gauge so even pressure is applied. So I was just wandering if anyone knew in a 6304 bearing class out of all the manufactures out there who makes the one to handle the most load..... Thanks
Your SKF bearing is rated to 16.8 kN dynamic or 7.8 kN static load
4500 lbs is approx 20 kN
Not many alternatives in that package size; I can find four point contact & barrel roller bearings rated for this load and more eg here also some similar from SKF etc. but these are unsealed and split inner race. (yours are 2RS - one steel & one rubber seal)
This is in an open area that nothing can really get into the bearing an we are able to oil it. I think we can use an open bearing for this. What can I use in SKF? That will handle the load. I went on there site could not find it. And thank you for your input.
Not easy on the SKF site to link directly to the product data, but go here and follow through the "product data" link
The bearing is designated QJ 304 MA and is the same dimensions as your 6304 (20 mm ID; 52 mm OD; 15 mm depth) but rated at 32 kN dynamic & 21.6 kN static load.
Hopefully it'll do the job. Bear in mind that the inner race is two piece and will need to be held together...
Worth reading through the information on that link about how the bearing is supposed to be used; this is not how you will be using it; details are given on how to derate the bearing accordingly
