HVAC Load for Residences

11/18/2010 8:02 AM

Dear folks,

Can somebody refer me to a site or source to get quick Building Envelope HVAC load for a 2- story residence in East Brunswick, NJ(USA) measuring 100'X 51 ft for a school project. Ht of 1st fl is 10' and 2nd floor is 11'. Forget any window and glass load. There is a main wood entry door 4' X 7' on south side .Consider normal U values for roof and walls and floor.

Thank you very much. It will be highly appreciated,

Use AsHRAE cooling and heating load calculation manual chapter 7 . It is very clear, Any problem, let's discuss. Good luck in your school project.

If ballpark is good enough, using 400 ft2 per ton of refrigeration you get (51 x 100 x 2)/400 = 25.5 tons.
