Retired, No Title

11/20/2010 6:04 PM

Would picture of failed push rod be helpful? The same goes for a picture of all the parts that make up the sand castle? The same goes for a picture of a very simple sand mold that has already been made by someone else? Less fuss. The same goes for a castle that I am imitating? Used drafting materials. Is there a compromise between a simple and a more elaborate sand castle? Imagination comes into the picture. I do not want to spend any money on all this. Just a hobby and a an inquiry. What material could be used for rod & plate. Natually that goes for the various molds. The plate goes to the top of mold, the rod is part of the assembly and it protrudes thru a small hole at the roof of the mold. The mold is turned upside down and the push rod is pushed down, the mold is gently push upward, thus leaving a wet sand form of a cylinder, rectangle, wall, and whatever. (the Big Game, the Bears are now on the board, exciting game) The less parts, the better. And would not like the prospect of losing push rods, parts in sand. The simple sand castle mold has better strength. Mine would have to have strength also.

Re: retard, no time

I believe we have a sitch-e-ation here similar to the one in the movie,"On the Beach", the coke bottle neck is in the ring of the window shade cord, and is intermittently hitting the radio key sending out a nonsense message. If not, just quit hittin' the damn reply button. Are you the same Heidi responsible for interrupting the football game telecast, you know, the "Heidi Incident"?

Heidi,

A picture of the failed push rod would be very helpful. Kindly post one as well as a picture of all the parts that make up the sand castle. I can assure you that you will not have to spend any money for advice on this forum.

No doubt a soda straw is too weak. No doubt a 2-inch diameter 1-foot long steel shaft is too heavy to haul around at the beach. Therefore compromise: use a 1/2-inch foot-long dowel, and be done with this nonsense. Please.

Well, first I'd need the inlet specifications - illustrated of course.

But in the Johnson context - I'm not enamored of use with sand.
