Wish to Know About CR 4 System from Administrators

11/24/2010 11:16 PM

Hello Administrators,

I just am curious to understand how CR $ system works.

  • I posted two different points (may be same topic with slight differences in approach) for discussions under the automobile section in the last few days, but it has not appeared in your daily log etc. I am very on these topics under automobile – particularly after seeing very heated debate involving nearly 400 responses to one John – who wanted to sell a new idea of IC engines.
    • I too am looking for getting views on new idea, but have analyzed it quite thoroughly mathematically. Hence – I also am going to hold back a few intricate details – to be shared only with a genuine implementer.
    • But this has not been put out on your CR 4
  • I also was looking for help in the field of force of repulsion between two magnets and even this did not appear.
  • I have seen some topics appear on daily log and when I open it- there area already about 10 to 20 responses before it appears. Doe sit mea – it was already under circulation before elsewhere?

So kindly do let me know- how the system works? Hope you don't mind.

Regards

Divekar

On the CR4 home page, there are two columns: Latest Forum Threads and Latest Engineering News. These columns contain partial lists of recent items. To the right of Latest Forum Threads, there is a purple legend, See all Forum Threads. Unless a thread has been closed down, it will show up there.

Thank you. My profile settings about reporting comments made were not right. So I was in total darkness about progress on discussions on these psoers.

Hi M S DIVEKAR,

Thanks for your question. Hopefully this explanation will help you:

The Daily Digest email and "front page" of CR4 have limited space so we do "hide" some questions and discussions from those pages. However, all new posts that meet our criteria display in the forum sections to which they were posted. You can view them the way that Tornado described above or by clicking the links for the CR4 sections. The CR4 forum section links are located on the right of the homepage below the search box. For example, if you were posting to the Automotive section, click on the Automotive link to see everything in that section.

Reasons for exclusion from the Daily Digest email might include, but are not limited to: duplicate posts, similar posts, commercial pursuits (these are also moved to the Commercial Space forum), homework-type questions, really basic definition or formula-type questions, etc. Preference is given to posts from registered users over non-registered Guest users.

So - your posts may not have appeared in the Daily Digest email, but they are on CR4 in the appropriate sections. Many of our users peruse those sections or read the list of recent threads and all threads are available to be read by our users. Nothing to worry about!
