Is it possible to mate an orifice flange with a standard flange?

Thanks for your input.

Guest,

I would like to know why you are going to do this?

Is it because you need a flanged joint and you have one weld-neck and one set of orifice flanges?

What?

Hello PennPiper,

I require a pressure tap at the location of the flanged joint. I won't be using an orifice and therefore, I do not require both flanges to be orifice/pressure tapped flanges. Since orifice flanges come with standard pressure taps, I was wondering if I could use one orifice flange and one standard flange to make the joint and use the pressure tap on the orifice flange for my application.

Thanks,

OP
