My advice to:
Search in google, you will find plenty of information. Try to do at least some calculations if you have any doubt in your calculation whether it is correct or not. Or you want an alternative method, there are many expert engineers in this forum who will guide you to the correct path.

Check out http://www.capitalpunishmentuk.org/hangmen.html for stringing efficiency. I think you'll find Albert Pierrepoint to be the best. James Inglis was strung up in only 7 seconds on the 8th of May 1951 at Strangeways in Manchester. 433 went a similare way at his hand.
