Old Centrifuge Dynamic Braking

12/09/2010 11:11 AM

I have a 1981 Westfalia BKA-28 Solid bowl centrifuge. the drive is indirect and centrifugal clutch is used. Can I use dynamic brakes with regenerative module to decelerate the centrifuge in 8-10 minutes?

That means that torque will be reversed and the relative motion of the clutch shoes to drum would be directed back words. I don't know if this kind of clutch meant to take counter torque and concerned that as a result the clutch may fail.

Why not one of these instead. No energy to dissipate.
